Knorr Ultimate Thanksgiving Cravebox Review

I was so happy to have been chosen for this box. I knew if anyone could bring thanksgiving to a box it would be Cravebox. This time Cravebox teamed up with Knorr. A brand well known for delivering products that are the perfect helping hand to any meal. This box was generous in both products and value.

Knorr homestype stock-
These little cups of chicken stock add the perfect mount needed to any chicken dish. I like that these can be used in small one pan meals to add a little bit of extra gravy and flavor or also in bigger meals like the thanksgiving turkey and stuffing.

Brookside Dark Chocolate Pomegranate -
I had tried another variety of these while visiting a friend not too long ago and thought they were delicious. This pomegranate flavor is just the right amount of bitter and tang with rich and sweet.

Del Monte included a nice recipe booklet along with coupons.

Pillsbury included a recipe and a coupon.

Knorr Savory Mashed Potato's Recipe card

Del Monte Whole green beans- While some may have been unhappy to receive these, i was pretty happy. I love green bean casserole, and adding these to my meals as a side dish, i was pleased at their inclusion.

Duncan Hines Frosting Creations Frosting Starter and Frosting Creations Flavor Mix in Strawberry Shortcake- I love this idea! I haven't had the chance to use these on a cake yet, but i look forward to flavoring my own frosting.

McCormick Turkey Gravy- This was perfect for thanksgiving! You can't go wrong with these easy to make gravy packs.

Overall i was really pleased with this Cravebox. It contained useful items perfect for thanksgiving.

Cooking Light Selects Cravebox

My first thoughts were "Wow this box is huge!". I have a habit of looking at spoilers but this time i didn't. I just wanted to be surprised and, trust me, i was. I loved how the packaging papers matched the outside. The intro card was informative and to the point.

One of the first things that i noticed was the Cooking Light magnet. This handy little measuring cup magnet gives a quick conversion to anything you may need while baking or preparing a meal.

From Torani I received a little book with a list of the products offered, a 1 dollar coupon and some Salted Sugar Free caramel syrup that has since replaced my normal Starbucks routine saving me uncountable amounts of money!

Speaking of my coffee habit, included in the Cooking Light Selects Cravebox was a bag of Tully's Coffee. I am currently subscribed to Gavalia, which i thought was amazing, until i tried this coffee. It is such a simple thing, but the flavor of this coffee is so rich. No matter how many times i make a pot of coffee using this product, it always comes out right. I can not say that for the other brands i had been using. Included was also a recipe card.

To top off the most amazing latte a little sugar is needed. This sugar made me feel a little less guilty when indulging in my two daily iced lattes. So little was needed for a sweet taste that was identical to regular sugar but melted so much faster. Also included was a nice recipe book. Thank you!

McCormick Perfect Pinch Garlic & Herb Salt Free-
I used this product over some salmon with frozen green beans and i was blown away. A one pan simple meal was made so much taster with this spice. It made a simple meal taste like it took me much longer to make then it did. I did add a little salt to my finished meal but this is worth picking up if you like a dash of flavor on your healthier steamed meals.

Dole Fruit Crisp bowls-
Most companies will send you one flavor to try, but not Cravebox. I got to try these three delicious flavors! I received apple pear, apple cinnamon, and peach. My favorite was the apple cinnamon and the peach. These are fantastic warmed up. I like that i can give them to my son as a treat and know that they are still just fruit and oats. This is great on the go and it really can hit the spot if you are craving pie or something else high in calories, reach for this and save your waist line.

This was a very enjoyable Cravebox!

Knoshbox Bourbon Box November 2012 Review

One day while browsing around online i came upon a site called Knoshbox. I was pretty much drawn in at the word Bourbon. I didn't hesitate to try this box and eagerly awaited its arrival. If you are wondering what a Knoshbox is, it is a box filled with artisan food from all over the country. Each box with its own theme. I think it is great to support small business and nice to try products from all over our country from hard working individuals. This box is a bit pricier then other boxes, but at $29.99 you get something that you wont be able to go to your local grocery store and buy.

I loved the way this box was packaged. It looked perfect for the fall holidays. These items are not sample sized, and each one looks like it really has a personal touch. The intro card is also helpful.

240 Sweet Bourbon Sugar  Bourbon Marshmallows-
If you have never tasted a fresh bourbon sugar bourbon marshmallow, then you have not lived! These marshmallows are soft, gooey, and taste like sweet vanilla and warmth (oak). Hailing from Columbus, Indiana, these are great on their own or paired with some chocolate.

Cacao Bakery Bourbon Pecan Brownie-
I love brownies, so maybe i am a little bias, but this brownie was just heavenly. It just about melted in my mouth. Topped with crunchy pecans (which i normally do not like) it was a great combination of soft and crunch. A little bittersweet but you could still taste just a light hint of the bourbon. These came from Illinois, i think i have a new found reason to travel!

Southern Culture Bourbon Salted Pecan Pancake mix -
I do not like pancakes. I made these anyway because i felt if anything would convince me to like them it would probably be something with an alcoholic beverage in its title. While i wasn't converted over to the pancake side i did find these delicious. I enjoyed how light and fluffy they were and also the crunch of a pecan every few bites. These are from Decatur, Georgia.

Fat Toad Farm Farmstead Goats Milk Salted Bourbon Caramel-
At first i had no idea what to do with this. From dipping my finger in it i was able to tell it was deliciously sweet and amazing, until the after taste of goats milk came on and i was quickly reminded of feta. So i thought to myself what could curb this after taste? I cut up a nice green apple and began to dip it in, and there it was! A perfect combination. I ate all the apples in my house that night with this! It may taste a little funny at first but it really is such a unique treat. This comes from Brookfield Vermont.

This is my first box but i am just about blown away by the qaulity, size, and flavors of these products. While the price may seem steep you are getting products you wouldn't normally get the chance to try unless you took a trip across country. I live in NYC and sometimes having the country come to me is just perfect.

Love With Food November 2012 Box Review

I received my second  Love With Food box in November. I knew this month would be great because how can you mess up the most celebrated food month in America? You can't! This month Amy Roloff of TLC's Little People Big World curated the Love With Food box. In my opinion she did a fantastic job.

This months selection contained a little bit of everything. Snacks, beverages, sweets, and even some turkey!

Mrs. Mays Mini Crunch-
Absolutely delicious! This crunchy yet slightly sweet snack is the perfect afternoon pick me up. I loved how no flavor over powered another.

Skeeter Snacks Chocolate Chunk Cookie-
Chocolaty but not too sweet, had a bitter sweet flavor. With no nuts i was happy! I didn't know what to think of the expiration date which is 20 days from the day i received it. I don't know if that indicates freshness and meant to be eaten soon after it was made or if it had been sitting around a while before its inclusion.

Inka Corn-
Crunchy and bursting with a pop corn like flavor, these natural snacks are delicious. The roasted flavor really comes through and the light salting is just right. Great alternative to traditional pop corn.

Truffle Pig-
This little milk chocolate truffle while delicious, i felt was just a simple item. It reminded me a lot of Lindt chocolate truffles which i can find in any drugstore. I wouldn't go out of my way for this item.

Stash Pumpkin Spice tea-
This decaffeinated tea really captures all the flavors of the holiday. This wasm spicy tea was just amazing as an evening pick me up!

BBQ Turkey Bak Kwa-
This was just yummy! It looks a little odd when you first take it out of its package but it is just a little piece of meat heaven.  Slightly tangy, slightly sweet, and just a little chewy.

Fruit. O. Mango Pear Pineapple-
This organic fruit product was perfect for my son. I hate giving him processed foods. This was big enough for us to both have a little healthy treat. I love that it allows you to bring fruit with you on the go without worrying about the mess.

Overall Love With Food is a fantastic subscription that allows you to try gourmet food at a very reasonable price. Always fresh, i haven't tasted something i didn't like. For only $10 dollars a month you can have a box of delicious food mailed to your house monthly, and the best part is for every box you buy one is donated to someone in need of food! Good for your belly good for karama! Win win.
